BlueGate for Shopify
BlueGate for Shopify is an independent app — not built or operated by Powertranz Ltd. — that lets you accept card payments on your Shopify store through your existing Powertranz® Hosted Payment Page. No PCI scope, no card data on your servers.
You must already hold an active Powertranz® merchant account (obtained directly from Powertranz or your acquiring bank). BlueGate does not provide merchant accounts and does not process funds — settlement runs through your bank exactly as it does today.
1. Install the app
Visit
/api/shopify/install?shop=your-store.myshopify.com from a logged-in Shopify admin browser. You'll approve the OAuth permissions and be redirected to the configuration page.2. Enter your Powertranz® credentials
From your Powertranz welcome pack you'll need:
- Merchant ID
- Merchant Password
- HPP Page Set and Page Name
- PowerTranz ID + Password (if using API features)
Click Test connection to verify before going live.
3. How checkout works
When a shopper picks BlueGate at checkout, Shopify calls our server, we generate a signed Powertranz® HPP URL using your credentials, and the shopper enters their card on Powertranz's secure page. Powertranz notifies us, we mark the Shopify order as paid via the Admin API, and the shopper returns to your thank-you page.
