Cookie Policy
BlueGate uses essential browser storage to keep accounts and important features working. Optional analytics and marketing are off by default and require your choice.
Effective 16 September 2026
1. What browser storage means
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, which can remember data between visits, and session storage, which normally lasts for a browser tab. This Policy covers all of them.
2. Essential storage
Essential storage operates without optional consent because BlueGate cannot securely provide the requested feature without it. It may include:
- Authentication session: keeps you signed in and refreshes secure account access.
- Security and checkout state: protects payment callbacks, Shopify installation authorization and other short-lived requests.
- Interface preferences: remembers items such as dashboard sidebar state.
- Consent record: remembers the categories you selected so we do not ask on every page.
Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, checkout, Shopify connection or account features from working.
3. Optional categories
Analytics: would help measure visits and feature usage. Marketing: would support advertising measurement or personalization. BlueGate currently has no analytics or marketing cookies active.
Both categories remain off unless you explicitly enable them. Enabling a category records permission but does not mean a tool is currently installed. If we introduce an optional tool, it must check consent before loading.
4. Third-party and payment storage
When you sign in, purchase, install a Shopify app, or follow an external link, the relevant cloud, payment or commerce provider may set strictly necessary storage on its own service. Purchases from BlueGate are temporarily processed by RYDR Global. Merchant transactions may involve the merchant’s selected gateway, such as Powertranz, and bank. Their own notices govern storage on their domains.
5. Duration
Session storage expires when the relevant session or browser context ends. Authentication records may remain until sign-out or token expiry. Interface and consent preferences may remain longer so the service remembers your choice. Security and OAuth cookies are short-lived. Exact duration may vary by browser and provider.
6. Manage your choices
You may reject all optional categories without losing ordinary public access. Use the button below or “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time.
You may also clear or block storage in browser settings. Doing so can sign you out and interrupt secure features. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier permitted processing unlawful.
7. Updates and contact
We will update this Policy if the technologies or providers change. For questions, use our contact form or write to Trident Marketing & Technologies Inc., Orange Cottage, Horse Hill, St. Joseph, Barbados.
