First Citizens Shopify payment gateway
Shopify Payments isn't available in Trinidad & Tobago. BlueGate connects your First Citizens card merchant account — processed by Powertranz — to your Shopify store, so you accept Visa and Mastercard and settle into your own account.
What you need
- A First Citizens business account
- Trinidad & Tobago business registration
- An approved e-commerce merchant account on the Powertranz gateway
How we set it up
- 1. Scope — confirm your First Citizens account and the right e-commerce product.
- 2. Credentials — once First Citizens approves you, we configure your gateway securely.
- 3. Test — approved, declined and cancelled payments, then a real live payment.
- 4. Go live — takings settle in Trinidad & Tobago dollars and/or US dollars, as agreed with First Citizens.
